Molde Seilforening
Molde Seilforening is the official sailing club of Molde on Norway’s Romsdal coast and offers sailing for all ages and skill levels. The club has the traditional Seilerhytta on Hjertøya with a new pontoon berth for up to 15 boats and the Fjærestua clubhouse at Lubbenes as the hub for dinghy sailing, courses and social gatherings. Classes include Optimist, ILCA and club J/70 league sailing; weekly dinghy training is on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with keelboat and J/70 racing on Wednesdays. Members benefit from SeilUt cruising, Wednesday regattas, beginner programmes and bag sailing without owning a boat. The club founded the SeilUt concept and competes in the Norwegian Sailing League’s first division.
History
Molde Seilforening is Molde’s sailing club on the Romsdal coast and shapes regional sailing through regattas, dinghy and keelboat programmes and cruising. The club founded the now nearly nationwide SeilUt concept, in which sailors visit defined harbours and collect points, complemented by tours such as Pinsecruise, Vårtrimmen, Midtsommertreff and Sensommertreff. After the Norwegian Sailing League began in 2016, league sailing took hold in Norway; Molde Seilforening races in the first division and runs a pool of four J/70 boats for bag sailing and Wednesday league racing from May to October. Seilerhytta on Hjertøya south of the centre is the traditional clubhouse with mooring options; a new pier for up to 15 bow moorings has revitalised the site. Fjærestua at Lubbenes is the second clubhouse and year-round meeting point for dinghy activity, Wednesday cafés, theme evenings and courses. The dinghy group sails Optimist, Laser/ILCA and RS Feva, runs annual beginner courses and lends club dinghies to newcomers.

Facilities
Two clubhouses: Seilerhytta on Hjertøya with berths for up to 15 boats, and Fjærestua at Lubbenes as the centre for dinghies, courses and events. Members have access to SUP and sailboards; Seilerhytta and Fjærestua are also available for hire.

Wednesday keelboat regattas, J/70 league sailing and Norwegian Sailing League participation, dinghy sailing with Optimist and ILCA, SeilUt cruising along the Romsdal coast, Pinsecruise and seasonal meets, beginner courses and social events such as sail pub, Wednesday café and annual party.
Youth section
Active dinghy group for all levels with Optimist (ages 8–15), ILCA for youth and adults, and youth boat RS Feva (ages 12–18); weekly training Tuesdays and Thursdays 17:30–19:30, annual beginner courses and club dinghy hire.
