Limhamns Segelsällskap
Limhamns Segelsällskap (LSS) is a non-profit sailing club in Limhamn near Malmö, Sweden, founded in 1972 with around 450 members of all ages. The club is based at Limhamns Småbåtshamn, co-owns the harbour company and offers a clubhouse with barbecue area plus club boats at the pier. Members can use Optimists, the club 606, an IF boat and a Maxi 77; there is a sailing school for adults, youth and families, weekly Fika Race events and buddy sailing. Club life includes barbecue evenings, theme nights, squadron cruises and navigation courses – community afloat and ashore.
History
Limhamns Segelsällskap (LSS) was founded in 1972 and has grown into a lively, successful sailing club with around 450 members. The foundation is member commitment and joy of boating. The club is non-profit and co-owns Limhamns Småbåtshamn AB, strengthening its presence in the harbour. The clubhouse overlooking the harbour and club boats at the pier is the central meeting place. Members can use Optimists, the 606, IF boat and Maxi 77 for club activities and sailing school. Popular offerings include the weekly Fika Race (short-handed with SRS handicap), Tuesday buddy sailing, squadron cruises and the LSS Regatta. In autumn, navigation courses for förarbevis, kustskeppare, VHF and canal certificates take place. The sailing school teaches practical keelboat handling including spring and autumn boat fitting.

Youth section
Optimists for children and youth to try sailing; sailing school also for youth and families; an adult must always be present when children sail.
