Lilla Essinge Båtklubb
Lilla Essinge Båtklubb is a traditional boat and sailing club on the island of Lilla Essingen in Stockholm, founded in 1926. The club operates its own harbour with member and guest berths and maintains a waiting list for available slips; later in the season, summer berths (sommarliggare) may also be offered. The organisation includes an elected board with chair, treasurer, secretary and harbour master, as well as club rules, statutes and an annual harbour map. Applicants and members find current admission and harbour fees for 2026 on the club website, with contact via the harbour master. The community maintains club life on Lilla Essingen and offers structured admission through expressions of interest and a queue.
History
Lilla Essinge Båtklubb (LEBK) was founded in 1926 according to the club and is a long-established boat club on Stockholm’s island of Lilla Essingen. It still runs its own harbour and allocates member and guest berths via expressions of interest and a waiting list; free berths often become available later in the season and may then be offered as summer berths. The club structure includes a board with chair, vice chair, treasurer, secretary, harbour master and other officials, plus documented statutes, rules and a harbour map for members. Enquiries about free berths go through the harbour master. The 2026 fee schedule covers membership, entrance, harbour and short-term rental charges and reflects continued operation as an active boat club.
