JK Rudar Raša
Jedriličarski klub RUDAR from Raša in Istria is a sailing club on the Croatian Adriatic coast with its own sailing school and active regatta programme. The club operates a Beneteau Platu 25 OD club boat used for racing and the sailing school; members may also train independently by arrangement and stay overnight in the associated apartment. The sailing school offers beginner, intermediate and race courses lasting seven days or a weekend and is a proud member of the International Sailing School Association (ISSA) with internationally recognised certificates. The club organises the annual recreational cruiser regatta TRGET KUP in Trget as part of the ARGONAUT KUP and cooperates with other Istrian sailing clubs.
History
Jedriličarski klub RUDAR from Raša is an active sailing club in Istria and runs its own sailing school. The school is a member of the International Sailing School Association (ISSA) and aligns its courses with the ISSA Inland Skipper, ISSA Inshore Skipper and an advanced race course standards. The club boat is a Beneteau Platu 25 OD designed by Far Yacht Design; this fast race yacht suits competition and teaching, and members may train independently by arrangement and overnight in the apartment. The club organises the annual recreational cruiser regatta TRGET KUP in Trget. The event counts towards the ARGONAUT KUP, which comprises seven regattas in the season and is organised by JK Delfin from Pula together with clubs such as JK Brioni Fažana, JK Horizont Poreč and JK Rudar Raša. Further Argonaut Cup races take place in Pula, Ližnjan, Barban, Brioni–Fažana and Poreč. The fifth TRGET KUP was held on 22 July 2023 in Trget and is supported by the Municipality of Raša, the tourist board, numerous sponsors and volunteers.
