Turystyczny Klub Żeglarski KLAR
Turystyczny Klub Żeglarski KLAR is a tourist sailing club based in Zabrze with its home port on Lake Dzierżno Małe near Pyskowice. At Nad Kanałem the club keeps boats such as Finn-Dinghy and Optimist as well as other fleet craft and kayaks for members and visitors. On summer weekends members are on duty and help beginners and experienced sailors explore the water; a skipper can be hired when needed. The club runs traditional events such as Regaty po Ćmoku and also offers Masurian lake charters. As a public-benefit organisation (OPP, KRS 0000001816), KLAR welcomes sailing enthusiasts of every skill level to join.
History
Turystyczny Klub Żeglarski KLAR (TKŻ KLAR) is registered as a public-benefit organisation under KRS 0000001816 and NIP 6482002643, with its seat at ul. Botaniczna 2 in Zabrze. The home port is on Lake Dzierżno Małe near Pyskowice, ul. Nad Kanałem, where the club keeps gear for local sailing including the club cutter known as Wielki Trener, Finn-Dinghy, Optimists and other watercraft. On the Masurian lakes the club also offers charter boats such as Tango. Regaty po Ćmoku is a long-standing club tradition organised for years together with Klub Kornelius. The club remembers former commodore Piotr and honorary member Stanisław Bilski, after whom Wielki Trener was named. Today the board led by commodore Marian Musiał, vice-commodore Adriana Kozik-Gawrońska and treasurer Barbara Kozik continues to invite newcomers and experienced sailors alike.
