Segelclub Equipage e.V.
Segelclub Equipage e.V. is a sailing club founded in 2020 under the motto “Sailing for Everyone”, aiming to open sailing to people of all ages and backgrounds. The club fleet includes two Topaz Argo dinghies on Lake Forggensee, with access to a Tornado catamaran and a performance J/70 yacht. Focus areas are sailing courses and training, children and youth sailing, organising club regattas and competing in national and international events. Members sail on regional waters such as Lake Ammersee and Lake Forggensee and race on Lake Constance, Lake Garda, in Croatia and on Cyprus, as well as in the German Sailing League Cup and the Rolex Middle Sea Race. The club is also a recognised RYA training centre and counts over 80 active members.
History
Segelclub Equipage e.V. was founded in 2020 with the aim of making sailing accessible to people of all ages and social backgrounds. Under the motto “Sailing for Everyone”, the club fosters enthusiasm for sailing — from children to professionals. Since its founding, membership has grown to over 80 sailing enthusiasts. The club fleet comprises two Topaz Argo dinghies on Lake Forggensee; members also have access to a Tornado catamaran and a sporty J/70 yacht. Sporting highlights include “Sailing for Everyone” events on Lake Ammersee, annual regattas on Lake Constance, Lake Garda and Cyprus, two participations in the DSL Cup, and member crews in the Rolex Middle Sea Race. Successful entries in several stages of the J/70 European Championship and the Equipage team’s entry in the J/70 Mixed Plus World Championship 2025 underline its international profile. SC Equipage e.V. is a recognised and certified Royal Yachting Association (RYA) training centre and offers theory courses for beginners and advanced sailors several times a year to international standards.
