Ekerö Båtklubb
Ekerö Båtklubb is a non-profit sailing and boat club on Fantholmsviken south of Träkvista in Ekerö municipality on Lake Mälaren. The sheltered club harbour borders Kyrkfjärden and includes moorings for about 150 boats, a clubhouse, yard facilities, slipways and junior areas at Sandudden. The programme ranges from Optimist and keelboat training to J/70 and 606 sessions, SRS evening racing, summer camps and stage sailing for young people. With around 500 members, the club is affiliated with the Swedish Sailing Federation and Svenska Båtunionen and promotes boating, safety and environmental awareness for all ages.
History
Ekerö Båtklubb is a non-profit public-benefit association in Ekerö municipality on Lake Mälaren with its club harbour at Fantholmsviken south of Träkvista. The club promotes boating, water safety, a good environment and good seamanship, with activities for children, youth and adults. It is affiliated with Saltsjön-Mälarens Båtförbund (SMBF) within Svenska Båtunionen (SBU), Stockholms Seglarförbund and Svenska Seglarförbundet (SSF), and thus Sweden's sports confederation. The club also works in Ekerö Båtråd with 13 other boat clubs in the municipality, is a permanent member of Svenska Sjöräddningssällskapet with support for the Munsö rescue station, and supports Skärgårdsstiftelsen. Club championship and EBK Cup results go back to the late 1970s, showing a long racing tradition in classes such as IF, 606, J/70, H-Boot and Nordic Folkboats. In 2025 the club had its best Allsvenskan season with 8th place overall and bronze at the women's SM in Ekoln. Today the club has around 500 members and extensive junior sailing with Optimist, keelboat training and summer camps.

Club harbour at Fantholmsviken with A and B main jetties for about 150 boats, guest jetty, junior jetty at Sandudden, clubhouse with club room, pantry and office, toilet building, equipment shed, environmental station, three mast racks, two junior sheds, three slipways, two fitting-out quays with mast cranes, fresh water and electricity on all jetties.
