Drevvikens Segelsällskap
Drevvikens Segelsällskap is a non-profit sports club on Lake Drevviken in Trångsund near Huddinge, promoting shared sailing, racing and a sailing school. Most activities start from “Grodviken” at Sjöängsbadet with a boat jetty. The club welcomes children and adults who enjoy sailing and nature together, and offers evening sailing as well as courses for beginners and more experienced sailors. Since its founding in 2010, the association has been a local hub for boat life and youth development on Drevviken.
History
Drevvikens Segelsällskap was founded on 28 March 2010 as a non-profit sports association (association number 44474-32, organisation number 802452-7437). Its purpose is to promote boat life on Lake Drevviken; most activities start from “Grodviken” at Sjöängsbadet in Trångsund. The club runs shared sailing, racing and a sailing school for children, young people and adults. The sailing school’s home harbour is the jetty at Sjöängsbadet and teaches sailing, seamanship, safety and knots. Former pupils describe first Optimist outings and later boat ownership. The club also organises Wednesday evening sailing at the jetty and public events such as Midsummer at Sjöängen together with Sjöängens Villaförening and with support from Huddinge Municipality.
