Granuddens Båtklubb

Granuddens Båtklubb is a non-profit boat club that promotes and supports active boating life in Luleå through the Granudden Marina facility. The facility was purchased from the municipality and is run by the members as a general idealistic association. The harbour has around 190 berths in the water and about 280 places on land for dry storage. Demand for berths is high; interested boaters often join a waiting list and contact the berth officer at platser@granudden.org. Entrance and annual fees are invoiced by the club by email, and membership administration uses the Swedish Boat Union BAS system. With volunteer club leadership and harbour operations, the club is a central hub for boaters in the Luleå region.

History

The history of Granuddens Båtklubb is closely linked to the Granudden marina facility in Luleå. The facility was purchased from the municipality and has since been run by the members as a non-profit, idealistic association. The club’s aim is to promote and support active boating life in Luleå through Granudden Marina. The harbour today offers around 190 water berths and about 280 land places; interest in places is so high that a waiting list is often kept. Applicants contact the berth officer, join the queue after an approved application and paid entrance fee, and receive entrance and annual fees by email. Membership data are managed via the Swedish Boat Union BAS administration system; members report changes to info@granudden.org. The club leadership organises berth allocation, work days and day-to-day harbour operations through volunteer officials.
