Gdański Klub Żeglarski
Gdański Klub Żeglarski (GKŻ) is a sailing club in Gdańsk with its own calendar and competitive sports programme. The club calendar announces free sailing activities for children aged 9 to 11 under the title “GKŻ zaprasza na dechy” as well as summer day camps (Półkolonie). The club takes part in and organises regattas and championships, including the Puchar Prezydenta Miasta Gdańska and the Puchar Prezydenta Sopotu. The 2019 sports results also document ice-sailing title races in Poland and Europe as well as starts at the championships in Spain. The offer thus addresses young sailors and performance-oriented sailors in the Gdańsk region.
History
The website of Gdański Klub Żeglarski mainly documents sporting activities and results from 2019. Among other things, the club ran the programme “GKŻ zaprasza na dechy” with free activities for children aged 9 to 11 from mid-May to mid-July as well as summer day camps. In July, the Puchar Prezydenta Miasta Gdańska featured on the calendar. The 2019 results page lists starts and results at the Polish Ice Sailing Championships in Giżycko, the European Ice Sailing Championships in Estonia, the Spanish Championships in El Puerto de Santa María and the Puchar Prezydenta Sopotu. The site is operated as a WordPress presence of Gdański Klub Żeglarski and brings together the club’s calendar and sports results.
