Bisserup Sejlklub
Bisserup Sejlklub is the official sailing club at Bisserup Marina on southern Zealand in Denmark and offers safe harbour access around the clock. The club features a modern sailors’ lounge opened in 2024, pontoons, rescue equipment, and toilets and showers for members and visiting sailors. Guest berths are marked green in the harbour; there are also motorhome pitches and an active junior section with dinghy and keelboat training. Regular sailing courses, skippers’ meetings and shared cruises shape club life. The approach to the harbour is marked day and night, and the fairway is dredged to 2.5 metres.
History
Bisserup Sejlklub runs the marina in Bisserup on southern Zealand and provides members and visiting sailors with safe harbour operations including a marked fairway dredged to 2.5 metres. In early May 2024 the new sailors’ lounge opened as a modern meeting place for local sailors, winter bathers, guest sailors and motorhome visitors. Construction was made possible among other things by LAG Slagelse (Local Action Groups) with co-financing from the European Union and voluntary labour. The club also received support from Lokale og Anlægsfonden and the Brand af 1848 Fond. Alongside harbour operations the club runs a junior section (BSJ) with dinghy and keelboat training as well as sailing courses for beginners and experienced sailors. Club life includes skippers’ meetings, Whitsun trips and other seasonal activities communicated via newsletter and the Facebook group.
