ANASA - Club Nautique de Sainte-Anne
ANASA (Association Nautique de Sainte-Anne) is the sailing and watersports club of Sainte-Anne in Guadeloupe and has managed the regional watersports base at the entrance to Plage du Bourg since 2019. The club sits on sheltered lagoon water behind the coral reef and offers the Base Nautique plus a clubhouse with a covered terrace and panoramic views over the sailing area. Activities include Optimist, ILCA, Laser, Fusion dinghies, catamaran, traditional Saintes sailing, windsurfing, wingfoil, kayak and stand-up paddle, with hire, courses and holiday camps for all ages. Juniors and adults train and race in events such as Challenge Karukera and the Semaine Nautique Internationale; inclusive formats like Handi-Joutes and Handikayak are part of the programme. Since the association was founded in 1986 and the base history began in 1983, democratising watersports in Guadeloupe has remained the central mission.
History
The watersports school in Sainte-Anne dates back to 1983. From a modest sailing school it became the Base Nautique Régionale in 2003; founders Lucien Milne, Frantz Flagie and Iréné Bibrac set out to democratise sailing in Guadeloupe. Thousands of children have been welcomed since then. First a wooden and tin hut, the base grew in the 2000s into a modern building on the lagoon beach of Plage du Bourg, protected by the coral reef, thanks to the Region of Guadeloupe. Management long rested with the Fédération des Œuvres Laïques (now Ligue de l'Enseignement) for school teaching, while ANASA handled club life and competition. Association Nautique de Sainte-Anne has existed since 28 November 1986 and opens watersports to all audiences. Since 2019 ANASA has managed the regional base. Today educational, social, sporting and cultural work combines hire, team-building, traditional sailing and major events such as Traditour and records like the Trophée Gwo Mòdan (non-stop traditional canot circumnavigation of Guadeloupe).

Youth section
Active youth section with Optimist and ILCA racing, Windsurf Kiddy Tour (ages 8–20), holiday camps, Découverte Nautique mornings for ages 7–12, and participation in international events such as the Semaine Nautique Internationale de Schoelcher.
