Circolo Velico Riminese

History

Circolo Velico Riminese was founded on 11 March 1982 by a group of friends united by their passion for the sea, friendship and the desire to share the sensations of sailing. This vision made the CVR a reference point for everyone who wants to go to sea and sail. Today the club is based in Via Destra del Porto and has moorings along the Canale di Rimini, a historic landing and berthing point for Rimini's fleets, where the club fleet and members' boats are kept. The CVR is among the founding clubs of the LIV (Lega Italiana Vela), established on 25 May 2015 to unite prestigious, active sailing clubs from across Italy in a sports league, in full respect of CONI sporting principles, the FIV statute and its regulations. The Luciano Pedulli sailing school of Circolo Velico Riminese has been running offshore sailing courses for around twenty years to spread sailing culture and train experienced sailors. The school is built on the voluntary collaboration of many members who over time have gained experience and completed a training path that led them to become instructors of the Federazione Italiana Vela (FIV). Courses combine theory with extensive practical activity on the open sea. Those who enrol in the sailing school can become members of Circolo Velico Riminese on favourable terms and continue their training without time constraints while experiencing club life. The homepage highlights more than 25 years of tradition and passion, with the club organising over 75 regattas and competitions on the Adriatic each year.
