Club Náutico Orillas de Alocén
Club Náutico Orillas de Alocén is a sports club on the Embalse de Entrepeñas reservoir in Guadalajara province, about four kilometres from the village of Alocén and easily reachable from Madrid. Since 2010 the club has offered water sports for all levels, from first experiences to sporting improvement. Facilities include a sports area with nautical hangar, changing rooms, beach volleyball court and direct access to the reservoir, plus a hostel with family rooms, bar, terrace and free parking. The programme covers sailing courses (dinghy sailing), windsurfing, wingfoil and kayak and paddle-surf rental; summer camps run for young people aged 7 to 17. Members get year-round access, discounts and entry to the sailing and windsurfing school with a Castilla-La Mancha sailing federation licence.
History
Club Orillas de Alocén (Orillas de Alocen Club Deportivo) has been active at Embalse de Entrepeñas since 2010 and has offered nautical activities for athletes, families and adventurers for more than 15 years. Together with members, facilities were developed: a hostel by the reservoir and a sports zone with hangar for sails, boards and kayaks, changing rooms, a multipurpose room for theory classes and outdoor areas. The club is linked to the Real Federación Española de Vela and organises courses, rentals, summer camps, beginner regattas and events such as the Orillas SUP Festival. Today it is a reference point for water sports in Spain’s central region between Madrid and Guadalajara.
