Club Nàutic Salou

Club Nàutic Salou is an established sailing and yacht club on the Costa Dorada in the port of Salou, offering 220 berths for boats from 4 to 24 metres in length plus 42 dry-stack spaces. Alongside its sailing school with ECV-standard courses, the club runs an active racing department in Optimist, ILCA and Vaurien classes and provides a fitness centre, restaurants and social facilities. Programmes range from summer camps for children and juniors through the year-round Sailing Salou initiative to regattas at regional, national and international level. The club has held the Blue Flag continuously since 1988 and is recognised as a reference club for environmental management and sailing in Catalonia.

Salou, España

History

Club Nàutic Salou was founded more than half a century ago and is now one of the long-established nautical clubs on the Costa Dorada. Salou harbour was among the first in Catalonia to receive the Blue Flag in 1988 and has maintained the award ever since; in 2026 the club was honoured for 39 consecutive years. Over the decades it evolved from a regional yacht club into a reference marina with 220 berths, dry storage, a fitness centre, restaurants and a sailing school affiliated to the Escola Catalana de Vela. A major milestone was hosting sailing events for the 2017 Mediterranean Games. In recent years the racing section has become a leading force in Catalonia and Spain, including the 2026 Vela de Oro award and numerous titles in IQFoil, Techno and ILCA. The club also invests in environmental education, harbour infrastructure and social activities for members and visitors on the Mediterranean.
