Centrum Żeglarskie
Centrum Żeglarskie in Szczecin is a municipal sailing centre on Lake Dąbie with a marina, sports sections and training programmes. Founded in 2015, the site presents itself as the largest and only sailing centre of its kind in Poland and the euroregion. Facilities include a modern marina with more than 200 berths, a youth hostel, conference rooms and, since 2024, camper pitches and personal watercraft stands. The programme covers a sailing school, racing and touring sections, offshore sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, activities for people with disabilities and adult courses. Regattas, camps and licence courses are held regularly; a distinctive feature is the link to Regatowa Reprezentacja Szczecina and municipal ownership.
History
Centrum Żeglarskie was established in 2015. Since then the centre has worked to promote water tourism and sailing among children and young people. After expansions and administrative changes it became, according to its own account, the largest and only sailing centre of this type in Poland and the euroregion. On 25 February 2020 the Szczecin City Council adopted resolution NR XV/503/20 on the rules for using municipal sports facilities managed by Centrum Żeglarskie at ul. Przestrzenna 19-21. The offer includes sailing and powerboat training as well as conferences and sports events. The marina provides accommodation for individuals and groups and camping cottages for rent. Since 2024 there are camper pitches with full infrastructure and stands for personal watercraft. The centre runs sports sections including sailing school, racing, touring, sea sailing, kayaking, windsurfing and a section for people with disabilities. It organises the regatta calendar on Lake Dąbie and projects such as Regatowa Reprezentacja Szczecina. In 2025/2026 the sports project is supported by Fundusz Rozwoju Kultury Fizycznej (KLUB PRO); the beneficiary is the City of Szczecin.
