Kjøbenhavns Amatør-Sejlklub (K.A.S.) is one of the oldest and largest sailing clubs in Copenhagen and is based in Svanemøllehavnen on the Øresund. The club offers a two-year sailing school with theory and practice in classic gaff-rigged boats, weekend and summer cruises, and racing for beginners and experienced sailors. Facilities include a clubhouse with Jomsborg and restaurant, a shore yard with winter storage, berths, and KAS Racing with J/70 and J/80 boats. Since 1891 the volunteer-run club has brought together members of all ages through shared sailing, training and club life.

Øresunds Sejlklub Frem is a traditional sailing club based at Svanemøllehavnen in Copenhagen, Denmark's largest marina. Founded in 1897, the club has about 750 members and shares the harbour with other sailing, rowing and youth clubs on the Øresund. Facilities include a clubhouse, a land yard with sheds and cranes, and a sailing school with gaff-rigged boats, Spækhugger boats and an IF boat. Weekly training, theory courses, racing via Svanemøllebugten Sejlsport and joint youth work with KØS define the programme. The long club history and an active community of cruising and racing sailors make Frem a central hub of Copenhagen's sailing scene.

The Rhein-Main-Donau Sailing Club e.V. (RMD SC) is a non-profit traditional club with its home harbour in Herrsching on Lake Ammersee. On an idyllic lakeside site, members and guests find club-owned boats, a beach and club meadow, and beer-garden atmosphere right by the water. The fleet includes the historic 45er National Cruiser Thimalus, Dragons, Kielzugvogel, 420s, Optimists, a Hobie Cat and further club boats. Juniors start in the Optimist, train on Saturdays and can later move to 420 and ILCA; regattas such as the Blue Ribbon of Lake Ammersee and Willi’s Eisstockregatta shape the sporting calendar. Since its founding in 1948, member commitment has defined club life – with clubhouse, harbour and an open offer for families and ambitious sailors.

Schweriner Segler-Verein von 1894 e.V. is the oldest sailing club in the state capital of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and, with 420 members, one of the largest in the region. Its home waters are Lake Schwerin; the club grounds lie on the Marstall peninsula right next to Schwerin Castle. Facilities include jetties and berths, a boat house, the Seglerheim clubhouse with club rooms and a public restaurant, plus a strong youth section with training groups in Optimist, ILCA, 420, 29er and 49er. The club covers recreational and competitive sailing, hosts local to international regattas, and also offers inclusive sailing, cruising, cutter sailing and an Olympia Team 2028. A distinctive feature is the historic 19th-century setting and the certified club harbour with guest berths.

Segelkameradschaft „Das Wappen von Bremen“ e.V. (SKWB) is a sailing club focused on ocean sailing and offshore training, with its office in Bremen. Unlike classic clubs, SKWB operates neither a clubhouse nor its own club harbour; club life takes place at sea, with ocean cruisers on the world’s oceans. The fleet includes the flagship „Wappen von Bremen“, the ocean yacht „Schlüssel von Bremen“ and the youth boat „Löwe von Bremen“ (Sun Fast 3600). Juniors train regularly for regattas and long passages; the youth section prepares sailors for the coastal skipper licence and Sportbootführerschein See and competes in ORC events and offshore races such as the Rolex Fastnet Race. Since its founding in 1934, Atlantic crossings, Cape Horn roundings and high-latitude expeditions have shaped the club – about 1,200,000 nautical miles already lie in the wake of its ocean cruisers.

Vieilles Voiles de Rhuys (VVR) is a maritime association on the Rhuys peninsula in the Gulf of Morbihan that restores, maintains and sails traditional sailing craft. At the Le Pouldu site in Sarzeau, members run a large workshop with mechanical, woodworking and office areas as well as boat storage for club-owned and privately owned vessels. The programme ranges from navigation and participation in maritime festivals to ropework, ship modelling, sea shanties and historical documentation. Regular meetings, lectures and major events such as Semaine du Golfe and the Fête du Carénage shape club life for beginners and experienced sailors alike.

Yacht-Club Luzern is a traditional sailing club on Lake Lucerne with its clubhouse at Lidostrasse 8 on the right shore of the Lucerne basin, next to the Lido bathing beach. Members use the jetty, mooring field, dinghy storage ashore, a crane at Alpenquai and a clubhouse with lounge, fireplace, bar, kitchen and changing rooms. The programme includes regattas, junior and adult training, J/70 club-boat booking and social events. The club welcomes beginners through to racing sailors; youth development with Optimist courses is an explicit goal. Founded in 1941 and celebrating its 85th anniversary in 2026, the club stands for camaraderie and active sailing in Central Switzerland.
